2 days to the Ride

L to R Coopers Best Extra Stout, Black Wattle Superior, Coopers Original Pale Ale, Coopers Dark Ale. Not the best photo but it gives you an idea of the variety. Tomorrow they will all be iced down and ready for "inspection"

We are down to the last minute details and final preparations for the "Ride". The bikes have been tuned; the GPS systems have been programmed, the food and beverages have been purchased and just await the arrival of Ralph and Blue tomorrow.

I had to do some searching to find this Australian beer and I'm looking forward to sampling it. Not too much, mind you, but enough to welcome our "international submarine brother" and his sidekick the "mayor of Summerville, SC".

The weather is cooperating splendidly and I even got a few extra parking passes for the parade on Sunday so everyone can park in a centralized area. Not much left to do except tick off the hours and minutes before we leave.

As I wait for their arrival tomorrow I'll start packing my tour pack with all the essentials and gas up the bike one more time after I wash it and wax it. I'm sure Jim will be doing the same. After that it's just sit back, relax and let it happen. Got a nice ride in today and anticipating what our ride across the "Big Mac" is going to be like. The highlight for me will be when those majestic Rocky Mountains first come into view.

Ralph and Blue; have a safe drive up here. The food and beverages will be waiting; along with a hot "water waster shower" if you think you need one. The 8,000 GPD has been working overtime to be ready for heavy use.

  1. Four bottles of beer on the wall,
    Four bottles of beer . . .
If one of those bottles should happen to fall,
An Aussie usually isn't far behind it.
In my experience. No reflection on Blue. :-))

It's 1250am and about to saddle up the broncs, put the feed bag on Blue and put the tin into the wind. We'll call and give y'all a progress report later.
    Cheers!
