We started the day off on a rather interesting note. There was a bit of a "domestic disturbance" about 0230 this morning as a couple of drunks decided to get into it big time. Drunk guy, drunk girl, lots of cussing and then the cars roar out of the campsite in a hale of dust and gravel. About 30 minutes later the guy comes back and it starts all over again; same result.
We started packing up to leave about 0530 when in comes the sheriff. Blue was on the spot with his video camera but I doubt he'll publish the footage. He'll probably try to sell it to "Rolling Stone"
We had breakfast in a neat "saloon" and all the local characters were there. After a few suspicious looks at the "strangers" we struck up a conversation and had a great time laughing and joking with them. We even met the mayor of the town (Glasgow, MT) and he gave us some good tips on what to see in Glacier National Park. We have met some amazing people along the way and they are all interested in hearing about where we're going and why we're doing this.
The rest of the day has been picture perfect. After a cold morning we had a great ride doing a little over 300 miles today. We're ahead of schedule so we're taking a bit of a rest in a hotel with real beds and hot water for showers and will try to do some laundry.
Along the way we stopped at a Rest Stop and Blue got to see a buffalo (stuffed); some prairie dogs and some weasels (live). We also stopped at a town called Saco but they told us John Bay had been exiled to Saco, Maine.
Tonight we'll treat ourselves to a healthy meal and get a good night's sleep. Tomorrow we head to Glacier National Park and will take the "Ride to the Sun". Supposed to be spectacular. We'll also go to Lake MacDonald and see if it's as beautiful as the photo I cadged off the internet earlier.
Later tonight I'll upload the photos to the gallery; need to do some editing first.
