Too bad McManus won't be with us when we get to this area in Minnesota. It's called "Bears Den Road" and it's near the headwaters of the Mississippi River. We all know how much McManus likes bears.
Just another teaser as we get down to the real ride.
Feel better Blue; nothing worse than having to fly when you don't feel good.
Ride safe
McManus has nothing to fear! I WILL have my K-Bar and I have read several books about Davy Crockett, Jeriamia Johnson & Dan'l Boone. Sorry Fred, my K-Bar isn't long enough to fight snakes, nor have I been able to find any books on famous snake fighters.... Did hear a story once though, but I'll save that for a campfire.
ReplyDeleteWell, to paraphrase Trotsky, it isn't so much that we like bears as it is that bears like us. Glad to see someone taking this grave threat seriously, Seamus.
ReplyDeleteBlue should be feeling better by flight time. Or maybe I should say he had best be better by flight time. If he gets here still having a cold I'm sure Doc will be able to oil him up royally.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking about oil, Blue will be in Panama City Beach at just about the time when the oil slick gets there. Owen will be able to oil him there also.
Ran the Tom-Tom GPS today and the girl in that thing sure does know her way around. Tried to confuse her a couple of times but she can get us back on course better tham any QM I've seen.
With all the rain across the North Country I hope the skeeters aren't too awful bad or the black flies. Got to aquire a few gallons of repellant when we get up near there. The repellants here may not do the job up there.
Doc, check with Pat to see if she could use some shrimp and how much for our "Last Supper" before we cast off all lines. Keep in mind Blue will be there. :<))))
Pat loves shrimp and I'm sure will appreciate whatever you bring along. I never developed a taste for the critters so she can have them all; or whatever is left over after Blue gets into them.
ReplyDeleteBetter set aside some just for Pat
