Since there was concern that the Miner Burger might not be big enough to satisfiy Blue's appetite I decided to look into "Fat Smitty's" which we will visit on Monday when we go up to the Olympic Peninsula. This one just might do the job.
On another note I'm really "bummed" today as my Harley dealer continues to spin me up over the delivery of my new pipes and scheduling of my maintenance prior to the trip. This is the first time I've had problems with them and I'm ready to cancel the order; get the oil change done and worry about all this stuff when we get back. I'm going to impress on them, in no uncertain terms, that they WILL have my bike ready to go in time; no excuses will be accepted.
Watch the B.P. Doc!! Push comes to shove I've got a couple of hammers and "cresent hammers" of various sizes. We'll change that oil and mount those pipes with no problem. I'll even throw in some bailing wire for good measure.
ReplyDeleteBlue is airborne so watch the sky for any sudden rain storms or even snow.
Bike is going in today at 1500; it will be returned on Monday with or without new pipes. At this point it is no longer important. The Ride is what counts.
ReplyDeleteI was wondering if Blue was leaving tonight or tomorrow; looks like he got the Redeye to Chicago from Perth. That's more flying than I want to do at one time. He ought to be pretty well whipped by the time Whalen gets his hands on him. I remember our 27 hours to get to Ghana in January and I didn't think I would ever get caught up on my sleep.
Now; I'm back to my "good space" and not going to worry about the small stuff.
I've got ome black tape to cover up the wire!
ReplyDeleteRalph: Is it true that if you can't fix it with a hammer you have an electrical problem?
ReplyDeleteI believe the operative phrase was: "If at first you don't succeed, you need a bigger hammer." At least in an FB-M 38D-8-1/8th engineroom, anyway.
ReplyDelete>>if you can't fix it with a hammer you have an electrical problem<<
not airborne just yet, I have another 15 hours to go before I take off.
ReplyDeleteIn a Fore-Endy's world, if it don't work, kick it, if that doesn't help, get someone else to 'discover' that it's $^&%^&*
Blue *_*
Have a safe flight Blue; stay out of the Geisha House in Tokyo. Enjoy the heat in Florida and then head up here to our 25C temps.
