I spent yesterday going over the proposed route and made a few changes; we will need to ensure that everyone is comfortable with this by early next spring so Ralph can finish up making whatever reservations we will need. This will not be an easy ride but if it was it wouldn't be as much fun; we'll have to be flexible to accomodate weather and road conditions but there are going to be days when the rides are long and the weather conditions will test us. Like the SEAL's say; "yesterday was your easiest day".
Review; and comment if you please; bitching will be tolerated but ignored.

In regards to making reservations, I think this pretty much has to be done on a day to day basis. Not knowing how we will progress makes reserving ahead of time kind of chancey.
ReplyDeleteAbout all we can look for now is what is available at our proposed layover points and then pick from them the day before or maybe 2 days away.
Our progress will depend on a few things like weather, traffic, road construction and any breakdowns. We will be out there in the peak travel season and also peak construction/road repair season.
I'm always interested in hearing suggestions, so, send me some if you gottm.
Later
Ralph
